What We Integrate
Connecting Building Systems Through Open Protocols
Our integration capability spans the full range of building subsystems. We connect HVAC controls, lighting systems, energy meters, security and access control, fire alarm interfaces, elevator systems, SCADA platforms, and CMMS/work order systems into a unified BAS platform that provides centralized monitoring, control, and reporting.
We work with BACnet (MSTP and IP), Modbus (RTU and TCP), LonWorks, and REST/API-based connections to bridge systems from different manufacturers and generations. For facilities running the Tridium/Niagara framework, we leverage its multi-protocol capability to serve as the integration backbone that ties everything together.
Integration isn’t just about connecting systems. It’s about making them work together intelligently. When your access control system knows a floor is unoccupied, your HVAC and lighting should respond. When your metering system detects a demand spike, your BAS should shed non-critical loads. These cross-system automations require protocol expertise, controls programming skill, and an understanding of how each subsystem operates. Our team brings all three.
What Makes Our Integration Capability Different
Protocol Expertise Backed by Controls Knowledge
Multi-Protocol Expertise
BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and API integrations each have their own requirements, limitations, and failure modes. Our team has hands-on experience with all of them, which means we select the right protocol for each integration rather than forcing everything through the one we know best.
Niagara/Tridium Framework Specialists
For facilities that need to aggregate multiple subsystems under one umbrella, the Niagara framework is the industry standard. Our team designs, deploys, and programs Niagara-based integration platforms that serve as the central nervous system for your building.
Integration That Works in the Field
Connecting two systems on a network diagram is easy. Making them exchange data reliably, handle communication failures gracefully, and trigger meaningful automations requires field-tested implementation. Our integrations are built by people who commission and support them, not just design them.
Vendor-Independent
We integrate what you have. We don’t require you to replace working systems with our preferred manufacturer to achieve integration. If the system has a standard communication protocol, we can connect it.
Integration Projects
System Integration Across Eastern PA and NJ
Dual Temp’s automation team has integrated building systems for commercial offices, healthcare facilities, educational campuses, and industrial buildings across Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Scopes have included multi-vendor BAS consolidation, SCADA connectivity, CMMS integration, and multi-building campus unification.
